Associate Director, UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center

The UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC), within the John Muir Institute of the Environment, an Organized Research Unit is recruiting for an Associate Director to manage the day-to-day operational activities of the center and to enhance interactions with resource management agencies in the Tahoe Basin to improve the understanding between science and policy. TERC is a global leader in research, education and public outreach on lakes that provides critical scientific information to help understand, restore and sustain the Lake Tahoe Basin and other systems worldwide. Over 12,000 annual visitors including students, visiting scholars and the general public utilize the Tahoe Science Center located in Incline Village, Nevada and the Eriksson Education Center located in Tahoe City, California. TERC provides several education and outreach programs for the public and K-12 grades, teaching programs, docent volunteer programs and sponsor special events promoting outreach.
