Director of Research, Lacawac Sanctuary & Field Station

GLEONsite Lacawac Sanctuary and Field Station in the Pocono Lakes region of northeastern Pennsylvania seeks a Director of Research.  Lacawac is an independent, non-profit institution with the rustic ambiance of an early 20th century estate on a pristine glacial lake in a 500+ acre preserve. The site is on the National Register of Historic Places and Lake Lacawac is a designated National Natural Landmark. The Director will maintain, strengthen, and expand research partnerships with academic institutions and researchers as well as the many user groups using Lacawac. Experience in field research and education, public speaking, effective collaboration and partnerships, and publication in scientific journals expected, PhD required. Success in securing federal and philanthropic grant funding is also preferred.
