Getting to Austria

by air:
to Vienna International Airport (VIE), which is located ~150 km from the village of Gaming (see map below).
There are plenty of daily flights within Europe directly to Vienna, and also direct flights daily from North America, Africa, and Asia.

Transport in Austria

The village of Gaming can be reached by:

a) free bus transfer: GLEON shuttle service directly from Vienna International Airport (participants will be asked to register for this shuttle service during registration):

There will be several shuttle bus services from Vienna International Airport to Gaming and back:
- Jul 3: 17h00 and 18h00: Departure from Vienna International Airport (airport bus terminal) directly to GLEON (Gaming). Please make your reservation for this free shuttle bus service when you register for the meeting.

- Jul 4: Vienna airport – Gaming (departure time will come soon)
- Jul 9: Gaming – Vienna airport (departure time will come soon)

b) Public train/bus service:

If you would like to arrive and/or leave by train, but still would like to benefit from the free shuttle bus from Vienna to Gaming and back, please take the train all the way to Vienna International Airport instead of getting already off at the Vienna main train station (Wien Hauptbahnhof). Most trains to Vienna continue to Vienna International Airport or there is easy train transfer to the airport. The GLEON shuttle buses won't stop at any of the train stations in Vienna.
