Please note that the G19 meeting arrangements at the Mohonk Mountain House (MMH) are for an inclusive meeting package to include meeting attendance, overnight accommodations, meals, coffee breaks, administrative fees and local taxes. Our group rate assumes that all G19 attendees, with the exception of local residents, will stay and take meals on site. Those who live locally should notify the meeting organizers via the registration form (day attendance rates will apply, see below).

Inclusive Meeting Package Rates for Attendees

  • Double occupancy inclusive meeting package: $1,108 per person for 4 nights or ~$1,380 for 5 nights. This is approximately $229 + $47 taxes and fees = $276 per person per night.
  • Single occupancy inclusive meeting package:  ~$1,476 per person for 4 nights and ~$1,845 for 5 nights. This is approximately $305 + $64 taxes and fees = $369 per person per night.

Except where noted below, all quoted prices for the inclusive meeting package include a 12% taxable administrative fee and approximately 8% in local taxes (unless you are with a NY tax exempt organization and provide a tax exempt certificate at the time of payment).

Family and Guest Rates

You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring spouses, partners, family members or guests with you but note that charges will apply. Additional charges will apply for each additional person not participating in the meeting (up to four people per room), as follows (not including fees and taxes):

  • Children/Adult (age 13 & over) $199.00 per person/night
  • Children (age 4-12 years) $115 .00 per person/night
  • Children under 4 stay free

During your stay at MMH, there is no need for you to provide gratuity of any kind to service staff.

Day Attendance Rates

Attendees who live locally still need to register for the meeting, and a daily attendance fee will apply, which includes meeting attendance, lunch, two coffee breaks, valet parking, and administrative fees (breakfast and dinner are charged separately).

  • Daily attendance rate (local residents only) $130/day

On the registration form, please indicate which days you plan to attend so your name can be placed on the security gate list. Please notify meeting organizers at the Cary Institute (not MMH) of any changes or cancellations in your registration for day attendance at least one week prior to the meeting (20 November 2017). Payments of cash or check (payable to the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies) should be made or arranged (if paying onsite) in advance of the meeting. Credit card payments will not be accepted for day attendance. Please contact Lisa Borre (borrel [at] caryinstitute.org) to make payment arrangements.

Ground Transportation (Airport Transfers) 

The cost of ground transportation to/from NYC area airports using public transportation is estimated to cost between $50-$100, depending on the day of travel and mode of public transportation. The NY Trailways bus will bring you the closest to MMH, and free shuttle service is provided from the New Paltz bus station to MMH. Here are approximate cost estimates for ground transportation based on fares published on the respective websites:

  • NY Trailways bus (NYC Port Authority terminal or Newark Penn Station to New Paltz, NY) $22 per person (one way)
  • MTA Metro North train (NYC Grand Central Station to Poughkeepsie, NY) $25 per person (one way)
  • Amtrak train (NYC Penn Station to Poughkeepsie, NY) $27-$50 per person (one way)

Due to the number of arrival airports and an array of arrival times, group shuttles from NYC area airport transfers are not planned at this time. Please see the Travel Information page for ground transportation instructions and be sure to book travel in advance.
