Currently, running a model such as GLM on a lake requires first determining a number of parameters. This parameterization can be difficult, and how the parameters vary in relationship to primary characteristics of the lake, such as morphology, is still not well understood. The purpose of this project is to investigate how parameter optimization, an active field, can be applied to lake modeling. There has been some previous work with MCMC and GLM. We will start there, and explore other techniques.Desired output products include both software and publications.
