SUMMARY:Limnoseries Workshop February 2026
DESCRIPTION:The next GLEON GSA Limnoseries will take place on February 17 at 7:00 UTC / 15:00 CST (half hour duration). \nTemperature and nutrient sensitivity of denitrification: their interconnected and combined effects in a shallow eutrophic lake\nPresented by Muhammad Numan Ali\nNitrogen pollution and GHG emissions\, especially in aquatic environments\, are critical global concerns. My research investigates nitrate reduction pathways\, specifically denitrification. Exploring how cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms (CyanoHABs) and nutrients affect N transformations in freshwater lakes by using stable isotope and metatranscriptomics to uncover their influence on N removal. \nIf you would like to attend this lecture or receive the recording\, please fill in the following registration form (now closed). \nPlease sign up for this lecture by February 13. The Zoom link required for the lecture will be sent to those who have registered. \nWe hope to see you there! \nGLEON Student Association (GSA) workshop sub-committee
