SUMMARY:GSA Limnoseries - Wind-induced sediment resuspension in a shallow coastal lagoon
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Daniel Chilton \nShallow lakes and lagoons typically exist in either an ecologically healthy\, clear water state\, or a degraded turbid water state. Wind-induced sediment resuspension can be important in maintaining a shallow lagoon in a degraded state. This presentation examines how wind-induced sediment resuspension contributes to the degraded state of the Coorong\, South Australia\, a shallow coastal lagoon of high ecological\, social and economic importance.
