The GLEON 21 meeting will be held at Deerhurst Resort in the Muskoka Region of Ontario, Canada.
Reservations
All attendees are required to secure a reservation at Deerhurst Resort (1-800-461-4393 Canada and U.S.) with a credit card by Friday, September 30th, 2019 to qualify for conference pricing. Please indicate "GLEON meeting" when booking.
Online reservations for the GLEON meeting block are now closed. Please call the resort to make your reservation and note that online reservations at Deerhurst do not include the price of the full meeting package, which is required for all attendees.
Calling the resort is the best option, especially if sharing a room with another attendee that requires split billing (see below).
One night's stay will be initially charged to the card, with the balance for the full meeting package charged seven days before arrival, unless you notify the resort of any changes. Attendees that have been notified by GLEON that arrangements are being made for you (i.e., students receiving travel awards) do not need to book a room.
You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring spouses, partners, family members or guests at your own expense.
Meeting Package
The meeting package for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights will cover overnight accommodations and all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 breaks) for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. For attendees arriving on Sunday or Monday evening, dinner on the night of your arrival is included in the package. Breakfast on Friday morning is also included in the package. Attendees and guests will be on their own for meals starting with lunch on Friday.
The cost of overnight accommodations varies depending on the type of room.
See Budget Your Travel for information about available room types and meeting package rates.
Room Sharing and Split Billing
Attendees are encouraged to organize their own room sharing arrangements. It is best if you call Deerhurst Resort (1-800-461-4393 Canada and U.S.) to make your reservation and arrange for splitting the bill, if necessary.
Local organizers and the GLEON Student Association (GSA) can help attendees find a roommate (no guarantees). Please indicate if you need help finding a roommate when registering for the meeting or contact the GSA: gsa.gleon@gmail.com.
