At Jordan Pond, we have a CB-400 Nexsens buoy with a temperature string, a YSI EXO2 sonde with temperature, conductivity, pH, DO, total algae, and fDOM sensors, as well as PAR sensors located on the buoy and underwater. We also have a weather station set up nearby to collect wind, temperature, precipitation, and barometric pressure data.
Jordan Pond is the clearest lake in Acadia, and over the past couple decades, transparency of Jordan Pond and other lakes in Acadia has declined, so we're interested in using the high-resolution monitoring data to learn more about how different variables might be affecting lake clarity (i.e. extreme precipitation events and fDOM response).
