Presented by Thomas Shannon
This workshop will focus on developing strategies for writing productive and successful scientific research proposals. We will focus on: 1) finding grants and navigating the diverse international granting landscape, 2) strategies for developing clear, concise, and compelling writing; 3) developing a “skeleton” for your grant application, going over the critical (and sometimes forgotten) components of the document; 4) strategies for integrating persuasive writing and scientific writing; and 5) tips and tricks for getting words on the page. Participants are encouraged to come prepared to write, and there will be opportunities throughout the workshop to practice writing short segments relevant to your own upcoming proposals or grant applications.
*Participants are welcome to join and leave according to their availability.
